One from the back end of October – slowly but surely the back log is being reduced!

A relatively short trip down to Berkshire for this one. The vehicle in question was a Mk5 Golf GTi, which was in need of a thorough cleanse and protection both inside and out.

On Arrival

Once the exterior was cleaned using our usual methods, the paintwork was then clayed to remove and bonded contamination.

Not to bad mostly sap… but the lower halves of the car were horrific, with the added “bonus” of overspray removal:

Before adding the finishing touches to the exterior (pre-wax cleansing, wax application and the other finishing details) I set about the interior.

Carpets were shampooed and protected, plastics dressed and the leather cleaned and conditioned.

You’ve got to love when the depth has been restored into red – A really satisfying job and a big thank you to the customer for their unlimited tea and biscuit supplies.

Here’s another one from back in October, the vehicle in question was a 6 month old Peugeot RCZ in need of a thorough cleanse and protection – inside & out.

Closer Inspection

Definitely in need of a good clean on the exterior!

First up the wheels.

Alloys Before

The alloys were treated with a non-acidic wheel brightener and then protected with a high durability wheel wax later in the detail – the arches & tyres were also treated accordingly.

Alloys After

The vehicle then received the usual Refined Details wash process and it was time to clay; here is some of the contamination lifted:

Once fully decontaminated with the clay bar it was time to undertake the interior – the plan was to clean and protect all the surfaces.

The exterior was then treated with a pre-wax cleanser, followed by an application of Valentines Concours Wax. The plastics/rubbers and glasswork were also treated.

The Results

An absolute pleasure working on possibly the prettiest Peugeot ever made – the rear end and the curvature of that rear window is just stunning!

Here’s a gorgeous 4 year old RR SuperCharged completed back in October last year. The plan was to give the vehicle a complete enhancement both inside and out.

The package completed on this vehicle was Gold + Full Interior.

Exhaust looking tired.

First up were the wheels:

Wheels Before

The alloys were treated with a non-acidic wheel cleaner and was agitated with various brushes. The finish was later protected with a high durability wheel wax – the tyres and arches were also treated accordingly.

Wheels After

Much better – the only thing I could fault was the light pitting to the finish.

The Range Rover then received the standard Refined Details comprehensive wash process including snow foam and the two bucket method – and was then rolled into the unit for claying.

The tops of the vehicle weren’t too bad, the expected sap:

However, the bottoms of the vehicle!!

Lots of bonded contamination… once fully clay barred and cleansed it was time to measure the paint thicknesses, mask up and assess the defects.

Some nasties on the O/S part of the bonnet.

A slightly deeper mark by the door handle, which could not be removed during this enhancement detail but otherwise fantastic correction from a 1-step machine enhancement.

Before applying the finishing touches to the exterior I set about undertaking the interior.

Looking slightly tired, definitely in need of some detailing.

Bits of dirt in the leather… time for some tooth pickery!

Doing the trick… a fair few more to go though – the interior was then vacuumed, fabrics shampooed, fabrics protected, plastics protected and the leather was cleaned and conditioned.

I took a few reflection snaps after applying the finishing touches to the exterior including waxing with Valentines Concours before rolling it out into the glorious sunshine.

Metallic flake rejuvenated…

It’s been a while since my last update – here is a job that I completed way back last September.

The vehicle in question was a brand new Mercedes SLK200 in need of protection.

On Arrival

Looking clean and tidy, which was to be expected.

Closer Inspection

A few flies and general dirt but nothing untoward.

First up were the wheels.

Alloys Before

The alloys were treated with a non-acidic wheel brightener, which was agitated with various brushes. The tyres & arches were also treated according and dressed later in the detail – plus the alloys were protected.

A real pleasure to work on such a gorgeous car – I’ve never been a massive Mercedes fan but this new line of design is just beautiful!

Another detail from the back end of September – the portfolio backlog continues!!

The vehicle in question was a Mercedes E350 CDi BlueEFFICIENCY Estate in need of protection throughout – Exterior, Interior & Engine Bay – and just a short local trip out to Milton Keynes.

On Arrival

Not looking to bad at all…

Closer Inspection

Light soiling throughout, nothing drastic but definitely in need of stripping off the sub-standard dealership protection for Valentines Concours.

First up were the alloys, arches & tyres.

Alloys Before

The alloys were treated with a non-acidic wheel brightener and agitated with various brushes. The arches and tyres were cleansed with an all purpose cleaner and later dressed – plus the alloys were sealed with a high durability wheel wax later in the detail.

Light soiling at best – both tips received an all-in-one polish and protection.

Exhausts After

The exterior then received the standardised Refined Details wash process including snow foam and the two bucket method – once dried I set about doing the engine bay.

Engine Bay Before

The entire engine bay was treated with an all purpose cleaner and then dressed/polished accordingly.

Engine Bay After

Once the engine bay was completed it was time to give the inside a Full Interior Detail.

Interior Before

Not so bad! The worst was where the youngsters were putting there feet where they should be!!

The interior surfaces were all dressed, the leather was cleaned & conditioned, fabrics protected and the inner glasswork treated.

Time to put my attention back to the exterior, starting with the clay bar, which returned the following contaminants from the roof:

Mostly sap, nothing exponential – and a few rogue tar spots from the lower halves:

The paintwork was then treated with a pre-wax cleanser followed by protection provided by Valentines Concours Wax. The glasswork, plastics and rubbers were also treated.
