Sep 29, 2009   //   by Adam   //   Portfolio  //  No Comments

A long overdue write up on this beautiful Do Luck Supra Twin Turbo in need of some TLC, including wet sanding!

The package performed on this vehicle was Platinum.

On Arrival

Looking really good already, however, I knew that there was coat upon coat of swirl filling polish on the body, clay would show the true condition of the paintwork.

First up the alloy wheels.

Before

The alloys were treated with a non-acidic wheel brightener as the alloys were nearly brand new. They alloys were protected and the tyres were dressed later in the detail.

After

Next up was the exhaust.

Before

The exhaust was treated with a metal polish and was then protected later in the detail.

After

The vehicle was then snow foamed:

and the usual grime catching areas were agitated accordingly:

Time to clay the vehicle.

Clay after the roof:

Not to bad, however, the clay picked up the following contaminants from just the lower drivers side wing:

The scratches were then identified and wet sanded, here is a handful:

Drivers Rear Pillar:

Lots of scratching here to be removed.

Drivers Side Door:

The usual accidentally inflicted key marks.

And finally one of many scratches on the bonnet:

The entire bonnet had to be wet sanded as it was so bad! Once the necessary areas were wet sanded the car was masked up and ready for machine polishing:
