Mini Cooper with Valentines Concours Wax

May 24, 2009   //   by Adam   //   Portfolio  //  No Comments

Saturday afternoon I had a full exterior hand detail to complete with Valentines Concours as my choice of wax.

The car was not in bad condition, was looking a bit more grey than black but nothing that could not be improved with some serious elbow grease.

The package performed on this vehicle was Silver.

On Arrival

Drivers side door:

Bootlid:

The vehicle was then snow foamed to remove the majority of the contaminants on the bodywork.

The gullies on the roof were especially full of gunk! They were treated with an APC and brush during the 2 bucket wash. APC was also used to break down the remaining deposits on the bottoms of the vehicle, and the entire roof as it was covered in sap!!

As you can see the build up of dirt was quite unpleasant!

The vehicle was then clayed and it was covered in bonded contaminants! Below is a picture of the clay bar after just the drivers side door.

The alloys were not to bad, little bit mucky and some cheap tyre gel!

Before

An acid wheel brightener was used to break down the grime and the fresh alloys were sealed with a carnuba wheel sealant wax, and the tyres were dressed with a semi-matt finish gloss.

After

The vehicle then received a treatment of a pre-cleanser, a high durability sealant and Valentines Concours Wax. The plastics/rubbers were dressed, and the windows received a rain repellent glass polish.
