MG ZR with Valentines Concours Wax

Sunday. I arrived at around 9:00am to find this very dull looking ZR, which was booked in for the same treatment as the STi and RX-8, a machine polish and also protection with a sealant and wax.

The package performed on this vehicle was Platinum.

Before

Fresh! At least it isn’t embedded into the clear coat of the paintwork I guess.

The car was then snow foamed, washed and dried ready for claying.

After claying half the bonnet.

A fair few bonded contaminents removed here, then onto the drivers door!

A serious build up of bonded contaminents was remove, mostly tar!

Once the car was fully clayed it was time to inspect the paintwork.

A fair few heavy swirls to be removed.

The car was then taped up ready for the machine polishing.

The swirls were removed with by restoring and refining the paintwork by machine.

The paintwork was then protected with a sealant and then coated with Valentines Concours Wax.

The tyres were then dressed and the alloys were sealed.

The glass was polished and the plastics/rubbers were dressed.

Finishing time was around 6:30pm.
